Hanmer Springs Camp

Last week Totara 2 and 3 went on Hanmer Camp. We stayed for two nights and we really enjoyed it. On the first day when we arrived I did tree climbing. I climbed both trees and it was quite fun. I liked getting up the tree but going back down was scary. After that we all went down to the hot pools, I really liked the Hot Pools and the Super Bowl. Getting up all the stairs was tiring though. After we got back we had dinner then did a quiz. The quiz was fun but some of the questions were really hard. The second day on camp we did lots. To start off the day we did Mission Impossible. Mission Impossible is when you do a bunch of activities as a team. I liked the tyre activity the most. What you had to do was get the tyres from 1 cone to another but in the same order. There was three cones lined up in a row and one had tyres with numbers on them. They started from five and went up to one. We then had to work out a way to get them onto the furthest away cone in the same order. The only thing was that a bigger number was not allowed to go on a smaller number. That activity took us awhile but eventually we got it. After Mission Impossible we had mountain biking. We biked for an hour and a half along a track. I particular didn't like that. Not long after that we went up conical hill. I really liked that walk because the view at the top was amazing. We then headed down to the lollie shop and brought lollies from the massive selection they have. We went back to the hot pools and went swimming one last time. The hot pools was really nice the second time because we had been doing activities all day and it was nice to relax. Then the time came, it was our final day. We started off the morning with packing up the cars with all our bags and then we were off to Orienteering. In Orienteering we won which was quit fun. We got 5?? points out of the 600 there was to get. WE had an hour to go around and find all the markers and write down there letters and numbers. Then it was back to camp were we had lunch and then set off back home. Overall camp was really fun and I really enjoyed it. Here are some photos of the fabulous time we had!!

  1. Great write up and photos about camp Paris. Hanmer Springs would have to be my favourite camp to go on, it was lots of fun.
